A special solo evening dedicated to Rajendra Kerung is taking place at Christ Church Community Hall in Ashford on Saturday, 3 October 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The event is organised by the Kirat Dharma and Literature Upliftment Association, Overseas Committee UK. It brings together music, language, identity and community recognition in a programme centred on Kerung’s creative journey.

Kerung has spent around 15 years working across Limbu and Nepalese music, journalism and cultural preservation. That combination gives the evening significance beyond a normal performance: it is also an opportunity to discuss how language, songs and community stories are being carried forward in Britain.

For younger members of the Nepalese community, events like this can create a direct connection with heritage while also showing how traditional identity can remain active in a modern UK setting.
